2005 Island
Games - 2 GOLD MEDALS!
A team of
3 travelled to the chilly Shetland Islands for the
2005 edition of the Island
Games. Sara-Lane, Brett & Katrina
arrived with high-hopes ... and ONLY walked off
with 5 medals between them!
Brett won the Gold
in full-rigs, Sara-Lane the Radials & the 3
won silver in the Team
Racing.

Bowl Dec 27-30th
Full Rigs -
Rajae & Rockal went to Miami to
take on the brightest Youth stars in Full
rigs and came away with mixed
results.
Rajae overcame two DNC's
in Races 1 & 2 ... one of which he ended
up keeping unfortunately ... to record a 23rd out
of 43. All his races were in the top 20
which, given the competiton is a VERY good
showing.
Rockal however didn't score,
which will be investigated further.
Radials- Jessie
Kirkland showed some pedigree in the Radial fleet
coming in
9th out of 112, consistantly right behind the two runaway
leaders. Also, Katrina Williams was 3rd Female in 12th overall. A
fantastic regatta by those
two.
Optimists -Special
mention MUST be made of Oliver Riihiluoma (son
of Laser sailor Jay), who won the Overall
Optimist title, and of Cameron Pimentel who placed 7th. The
latest Young Guns approaching Radial size/age
soon!!
